AS GoBus provides affordable and reliable public transportation service in cities, counties, as well as charter transportation.
AS GoBus forerunner was Tartu ATP, founded in 1 January, 1954. In 1991 the company was renamed to AS Tarbus and since 18 November, 2005 AS Tarbus carries the name AS GoBus. AS Tarbus together with seven other bus companies are incorporated into AS GoBus. AS GoBus is with more than 1 000 employees and 400 buses the largest bus company in Estonia. AS GoBus’ goal is to ensure the development of dependable bus transportation throughout all of Estonia, thus optimizing company's management to implement quality service equally throughout Estonia. Go Bus is especially important in rural areas since a bus is often the only transportation option for the community.
AS GoBus is made up of following companies: AS Tarbus, AS Rakvere ATP, AS Pärnu ATP, AS Neomobile , OÜ Tiit Liinid, OÜ Põlva Reisijateveod, AS Läänemaa Liinid and OÜ Trakmain. All those companies are known as Go Bus. In different regions the name of the county may be added to the title Go Bus and be known as Go Bus Tartu, Go Bus Pärnu etc. According to the project the whole process will be finished by 2007.
AS Tarbus was the first public transportation company in Estonia receiving in 2003 the quality standard certificate ISO 9001:2000. The goal for the future is to develop the same high standards in both management and service throughout the entire company.
In Go Bus Tartu, buses accept clip card payment. Future plans are being made to implement this type of payment in different stages, throughout all regions in Estonia.
AS GoBus estimated turnover in 2006 is over 300 million EEK.
